Free · on site · no obligation
Forty minutes at your house, then a written price.
Dmitriy comes out, measures every surface, checks the siding and the trim, and asks what you actually want out of the job. The next day you get the price on paper — surfaces, prep, coats, product names, days on site, total. You owe nothing for it and you are not signing anything that day.
- Cost of the visit $0
- Time on site ~40 min
- Until the written price 24 hrs
- Ask for a deposit to hold a date
- Give you a “today only” discount
- Push paint onto a wall that does not need it yet
What the visit actually is
Where the forty minutes go
No sales pitch in there. It is measuring, looking closely at the bad spots, and a conversation about colours and timing.
-
Minutes 0–10
Walk the house with you
You point at what bothers you. Dmitriy asks what you want done and what can wait until next year.
-
Minutes 10–25
Measure and photograph
Square footage surface by surface, linear feet of trim and fence, plus photos of every wall so nothing is quoted from memory.
-
Minutes 25–35
Check the trouble spots
Soft wood at the bottom of the siding, failing caulk, peeling on the south wall, deck boards that will not hold stain. This is where a price goes up or down.
-
Minutes 35–40
Colours, sheen, timing
A rough range out loud, when we could start, and how weather moves an exterior date in the Northwest.
You will hear a rough range before he leaves. The paper price the next day is the precise version of it — not a different number.
The day after
What the written estimate looks like
One page, line by line. If a number on the invoice ever differs from this page, we explain it in writing before the work happens.
| Line item | Quantity | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Wash, scrape, sand and mask all siding | 2,400 sq ft | included |
| Caulk joints, prime bare wood | 180 linear ft | included |
| Body — two coats | 2,400 sq ft | $6,600 |
| Trim, fascia and window casings — two coats | 340 linear ft | $1,190 |
| Replace 4 rotted siding boards (found at the visit) | 4 pcs | $480 |
| Front door — repaint, separate colour | 1 pc | $220 |
| Total | $8,490 |
Illustrative figures for a 2,400 sq ft two-storey house. Your numbers depend on the surfaces, the condition and the product — see what moves the price.
Have this ready
It makes the visit shorter
- Access to all sides of the house — gates unlocked, dogs inside
- Any HOA colour rules or approved palette, if you have them
- Roughly when the house was last painted, even if it is a guess
- Your deadline — a sale, a move-in date, a party in the yard
You do not need colours picked, square footage measured, or the house cleaned up. That is our job.
Not ready for a visit yet?
For a deck, a fence or one room, two photos are often enough for a ballpark the same day. For a whole exterior we will still want to come out — a number guessed from a photo is not a number you can plan around.
